Ms. Boado has more than 18 years of civil engineering experience in transportation involving highway design, and Hydraulics and Hydrology (H&H) studies. Her past experience includes working with the Texas Department of Transportation preparing detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates (PS&E), hydraulic design and analysis of bridges and culverts, urban storm drain design, and writing technical reports.
While working in the private sector, Josephine was the project manager for the preparation of the PS&E for the SH 31 reconstruction project in Corsicana, Texas, for TxDOT.
Other projects prepared for TxDOT include H&H drainage studies on SH 121 in Collin County, IH 2 in Hidalgo County, and I-35 in Travis County, Texas, for which she performed hydraulic and hydrologic analyses of bridges and culverts, evaluated scour, analyzed drainage impacts, and wrote technical reports.
